Palau January Update

NEW YEAR- NEW PIVOT:

We are now in the third week of introducing two new business models. After conducting numerous user interviews, meetings with investors, and development discussions, we have decided to prioritize a balance of 50% active users and 50% paying users. From now on, the number of active users will no longer be the only primary measure of our success..

    Climate action Plan:

    Our product database is a powerful tool for reducing CO2 emissions, but what about the impact that cannot be avoided? With this new feature, users can offset their carbon footprint by participating in projects that remove carbon from the atmosphere. This way, they can have a balanced and sustainable diet.

    Reduction Plan:

    This plan is for those who are bold and willing to make a change! The average person can reduce their environmental impact by 70% simply by switching to a plant-based diet and buying seasonal products. Our goal is to make this transition as easy and convenient as possible. Currently, we offer recipes and alternative shopping lists. We are also exploring the possibility of having a dietitian provide personalized support. This plan is still in the testing phase to see what the most helpful features are for our users.

    Team update:

    • Grayson, our UX machine, has taken the insane initiative by doing great usability tests with our lovely users! This is probably one of the biggest step forwards on our feedback loops!

    • Toby has managed to get a deal with Stripe that cuts our transaction cost to 0 for the first 100k 🥳💸

    • Simon and Theo have been working on a significant database update that drastically improves the founding rate of meat alternatives and other plant-based products. This will improve our retention rates as it was a strong request from our users. Hopefully, it will go out in the following weeks.

    Run-Rate:

    • We are still managing to move forward with a monthly budget under 6k total! 💸
